"Sen. James Inhofe (R-Okla.) knows he's not politically correct, but he doesn't care: "I believe in racial and ethnic profiling," the GOP senator announced at a Senate Armed Services Committee review of Fort Hood shootings on Thursday."

I'm guessing he forgot all about that little bombing incident with Timothy McVeigh in his home state.

This video shows how our government is failing to handle situations and how people are steal suck on stupid. The senator says he agrees with racial profiling in which I disagree completely with. His concern is the Muslim between the ages of about 25-35 are terrorist. Some of them may in fact be Muslims but that is not a justifiable reason to racially profile anyone wither they're black, Hispanic, Muslim, or not. There has to be some other alternative to fix terrorism. I believe everyone should checked and looked at the same in airports because anybody could be carrying something that would harm of destroy a plane. By focusing on certain people, this allows other people to get away with something because they may not have had the proper checking. If everyone is checked the same and other precautions are taken you would have this problem. As Elizabeth mentioned in her comment, Timothy McVeigh was a terrorist and he was

This shows that you cant single out one race because anybody is capable of being a terrorist.

So in actuality by Sen. James Inhofe (R-Okla.) opening his mouth with the ignorant tone saying that his wife should not have been searched by TSA at the airport because she is not a terrorist. By profiling one group as terrorist and comparing it to the unfortunate events of the Fort Hood, he did indeed forget about Timothy McVeigh as Elizabeth mentioned. Now as a member of the government knows how it feels not to be privileged. It is understandable on how he feels, bring out the anger and the feelings of disparity now the shoe is put on the other foot.

The logic of his argument is ridiculous. "All muslims aren't terrorists but all terrorists are muslims." Is that really a reason to stop everyone of a certain skin tone? Terrorists make up what percentage of the population? There are far fewer people killed in terrorist attacks than natural disasters or car wrecks. It's also interesting that we focus so much on the airlines and borders when there are so many other possible outlets for terrorists to attack. We put such a huge focus on preventing something that could occur so randomly and it's not the people trying to cause problems that we're affecting. Isn't that the point of terror? To create fear and paranoia? We've made is worse creating things like the terror alert level and suspiciously scrutinizing every person who looks like they might have a brother or a cousin from the Middle East. It keeps people afraid and people will give up freedom to feel safe.
