Im a pretty big fan of Tru TV. I tend to watch a number of shows on that channel and when i made my way to the website i came across this crime library. This is a website that is devoted to all sorts of information on all different types of offenders including murderers. The website has a number of different types of cases on the main page such as celebrity siblings arrests, false convictions, "dumb" criminals etc. and you can also look at specific kinds of murders and cases that have happened in history. I thought this website was interesting and could be beneficial for someone that was looking for a certain case or someone that is interested in reading about all types of crimes in general
I looked around on this website and I was impressed with all the details and cases that are present. One case that truly grabbed my attention was about Anthony Sowell. His story is very interesting. He was arrested in 1989 and spent 15 years in prison for rape. In 2005 he was released from prison and took a job in a factory, but he soon was laid off. Since the time he was laid off from his job. Soon he went back into his behavior of raping women, but this time around there was somewhat of a twist, he began to kill them. He would lour poor women off the streets by offering drugs or alcoholic drinks. Once the women were inside his house he would strangle them and threaten to kill them. Once he scared the women he would rape and murder them. On this website it states, "On October 29, the police were back, warrant in hand, ready to arrest Anthony Sowell. No one was home. But the cops found two decomposing bodies in the house. The next day, they found three more." (http://www.trutv.com/library/crime/serial_killers/predators/anthony_sowell/7.html )
My only thought about this is why didn't the citizens that were living on his street notice the girls going into his house and not coming out? They did notice the odor, but they blamed it on the sewage system. This I did not understand.
Overall, this website is very informative and helpful with knowing about what is going on in today's world with crime and killers. It was very easy to navigate through the website and very fun.
