After listening to that radio segment, I felt really bad for that couple. If I were in their shoes I would've done the same thing that they did. I thought that it was wrong for the cop to not tell them the truth about the bait car. If he would have just said that it was a bait car and that they should just leave it alone, then they could have prevented all of the problems that they had to go through with the couple. I don't think the couple should have had to spend all the money for the lawyers and have all that stuff on their record. I would be furious if that happened to me so I feel for this couple.
