Topic blog 02/17 -http://www.psychologicalscience.com/psychology_of_violence/2011/02/topical-blog-due-217-10pm.html#comment-11081

Update on my expert topic - I think I have decided my topic will be on Mandatory reporting of child abuse. I attended a multidisciplinary team meeting for the child protection center last week and the issue of reporting suspected child abuse was a significant topic of discussion. Concerns were addressed surrounding the current process and potential ideas for areas of improvement were also discussed. This meeting gave me a lot of good ideas regarding my concern around this issue. Also an individual at the meeting talked about being a trainer for mandatory reporting, I spoke with her briefly about that process and am planning on sending her an email next week to look into the process more thoroughly. I have also began to research and read through articles pertaining to my topic.
