For those of you who like sports, there is a book called, "My Losing Season," by Pat Conroy. It's a memoir of a college basketball player who was mentally abused as a child by his father. Throughout the book, he struggles with his emotions surrounding the game of basketball and life as he transforms suffering into a source of strength, passion, and motivation.
