Movie Assignment

Hi everyone,

This was actually an assignment that my Intro teacher gave my class, and it's a fun break from reading the book / webpages and regurgitating the information.  Also, Kim had my class do this last semester for every chapter, so I think I'll try to give you the option too.

This is an optional post for you to comment on. THIS IS NOT REQUIRED.

It should be fun, however.

We've read and talked about myths pertaining to memory and amnesia.  I know that a couple of you have even commented about them already, so for this assignment please watch the movie "Memento" (2000) and comment about it. (See instructions below.)

You can watch it instantly through Netflix - who also offers a free trial period, so you might be interested in that option.   Otherwise, rent it.  YOU DO NOT NEED TO BUY THE MOVIE . . . unless you would like to own it.

Anyway, watch the movie and use your book, class notes, an intro book (at the library or if  you've bought one), or online resources.  REMEMBER to think about the quality of the websites that you use.  If you're using information to support your ideas, make sure it isn't from something like JimBobsIdeas.com.  Look for reliable resources.

Talk about the movie and apply any concepts that you would like to it.  Specifically, memory and amnesia are two good topics, but feel free to use any that you would like.  Please mention any resources that you use.

Include links in the post if you used a website.  Mention the name of the name of the book, its author, and year published.  And if you used class notes, please mention that too.

This is supposed to be a fun assignment / an excuse to watch a movie for class.  So have fun with it or else!!  - jk.
