Subject: Ole and Sven
Sven is passing by Ole's hay shed one day when through a gap in the door he sees Ole doing a slow and sensual striptease in front of an old green John Deere. Buttocks clenched he performs a slow pirouette and gently slides off first the right suspender, followed by the left. He then hunches his shoulders forward and in a classic striptease move lets his braces fall down from his shoulders to dangle by his hips over his corduroy trousers . Grabbing both sides of his checked shirt he rips it apart to reveal his tea stained vest underneath and with a final flourish he hurls his flat cap on to a pile of hay.
'What on earth are you doing Ole' says Sven
'Jeez Sven, ye frightened the livin bejasus out of me' says an obviously embarrassed Ole, 'but me and the Missus been having some trouble lately in the bedroom department, and the Therapist suggested I do something sexy to a tractor .

According to the text this could be Unintentional Linguistic Humor. Due to the misunderstanding of pronunciation by the character Ole when he took the therapist's advice: "Do something sexy to a tractor". I'm sure Sven understands that the therapist's advice was actually, "Do something sexy to attract her". This humor is found in everday social interactions, whcih are divided into three broad categories: 1)Jokes, 2)Spontaneous conversational humor, & 3)Accidental or unintentional humor (physical and linguistic).

HILARIOUS! This is really dumb but I laughed out loud when I read the last line. I agree with Steve above. AHH watching Chelsea Lately right now she just asked Chuy (her native Spanish speaking side-kick) "Are you obese?" He replied, "No, I'm not. You're the beast!" Another good example. Obviously these things are intentional jokes but just the realization of the misunderstanding is funny. I'm not sure exactly how to explain it. Maybe with incongruity of the different meanings of the misunderstood word.
I think this is funny because of the illusion of a "striptease" in this sort of setting. Normally, the schema of a striptease relates to lingerie in a bedroom, or possibly with the use of a "pole" or "chair" dance and some "sexy" music. Usually the gender in this type of schema is a woman. Thus, because the striptease is performed with a tractor in a barn and the character is a man, it is incongruous with the normal schema associated with this type of behavior and that makes it humorous.
I enjoyed the setting of the farmer putting on a striptease because I am imagining a stereotypical farmer that would normally consider himself too manly or macho to perform such a sexual act. I have never thought of myself as a conservative or authoritarian personality type (as Ruch's 3WD's test would characterize me), but I did not find the ending punchline to be funny because there was no real way for me to make sense of the joke after it was finished. At first I thought it was because I do not know a lot about farms or farm equipment, but I am guessing that this is more of a NON type of humor where the incongruity of the joke is never fully resolved. I would guess this means I only enjoy NON humor in a spontaneous social situation instead of as a canned joke, but either way I would say no, this is not funny.
