Please make sure you are registered for the History & Systems class and then spend a little time orienting yourself with the class blog site. While you are at it please look over the syllabus pages and make sure you understand what we will be doing this semester as it relates to the syllabus.
Next read the pdf on how to register for the class blog - (make sure you actually read it because every semester several students don't do it right.)
Once you have registered you will need to wait about a day so we can approve your registration by hand/manually. Once you receive notice that you are fully registered, please log in and leave a comment about what you think about the blog site, the class, or any particular blog post you have read. I mostly just want to make sure you can log in and comment. If you have problems logging in send me an email and let me know what I can do to help.

I am looking forward to taking this class, and I think that learning about topic of cognitive psychology will be especially interesting.
I have taken numerous classes with both Dr. MacLin's so I am pretty familiar with the Hybrid class format and the blog websites. I am really interested to start this class and see what it is all about!
It seems like this is going to be a pretty fun class! I'm excited to get started.
I got in! Time to start autonomously completing these assignments.
I got in! Everything is working great. I've taken online classes before, but this will be my first hybrid class. I'm excited to see how it goes. I think I'll really enjoy it.
I am very familiar with the hybrid courses and I love blogging and viewing my peers responses to the activity questions! I am excited to not learn "dates and names" but learn the some-what fun part of a history class.
This is my second hybrid class with Dr. MacLin and I am looking forward to it. :)
This is my second hybrid class and much like the first one I took, I am looking forward to it.
To be completely honest, I'm a little nervous about this class. Not that it's going to be an overwhelming class, but just remembering to do everything online. However, I have heard that once you adjust to the format it fits nicely into the rest of your class schedule.
I'm really looking forward to this class. The first day I wasn't sure what to expect and I was glad to find that this course has an interesting professor. I know I won't be bored with this class.
I have taken online classes before, but never a hybrid course. I really like the format of this blog--it's much better than the one that was standard for the online classes I took at Hawkeye.
I'm in. I know I'm going to really love this class!
The site seems pretty self explanatory. I think it will be a very interesting class.
I'm excited for this class. I'm excited for the new opportunity of taking a hybrid class and also to expand my knowledge of psychology.
Success! I'm in first blog ever!
This is my first hybrid class and first time using a blog!!
This is one of my first hybrid classes taken at UNI. It looks promising so far; I can't wait to see how the semester unfolds!
I have not taken a hybrid class yet and now I'm in two so I'm a little nervous! The class itself seems interesting! I'm excited!
I really enjoy these hybrid classes. This class is required for my major so it being a hybrid class is another plus! I am looking forward to this class and what it has to offer!
I think the hybrid class is a good break from other classes and gets me to start writing more which is a weakness of mine.
This will be my third hybrid class, I have taken 2 already with Kim MacLin and I really enjoy the set up. I liked the set up because I felt like I was actually learning something and not busy memorizing something for a test that I may not do well on. I like having the time soak in the information on my time and do better in the class.
I got in, but took me quite awhile to remember my username. I'm pretty excited for the course, simply because I had Psychology and Law last semester with Dr. Kim MacLin, and it went great! Favorite class at UNI
Looks like I passed the log-in test once again! I think it stands to reason that I like the Hybrid courses as this will be my third. I enjoy taking "Maclin" classes because I think it gives me an opportunity to be a little more outspoken (even if it is just through writing). I don't want to overspeak so I try not to talk to much in class (unless I'm really passionate about a subject). I guess I'm a little opinionated. Love the challenge of thought and I'm interested in learning about the history of my favorite subject, Psychology.
I agree already. This is my third week of his class but I do like that he lets us kinda do our own way, and he doesn't tell us we're wrong or anything, no judgement.
This is my first hybrid class and I'm looking forward to seeing how it goes. I'm looking forward to this class and even more when Dr. MacLin was talking about how psychology is a science, because to some, this branch of science is just a joke to them!
OK, I finally got it.
Registered and ready to go.
I have previously had a class with the other Dr. MacLin and I like how this course is set up. I think it’s nice to have your own time to do individual work as well as time in class to ask you questions and have one on one interaction when dealing with the class material. I’m not looking forward to history, as I am not a fan, but as what you have previously stated, this course is going to be more than just memorizing names and dates. This makes me feel better about taking this course!
I like the concept of the blog. It keeps things interesting and forces me to get involved in both the class discussion and the blog format.
I have never had a hybrid class before (have taken my share of online classes though). I am very excited and eager to learn in this class, I love this style of teaching and look forward to the semester.
I am in! Although this blog is very late (I'm sorry I didn't realize it needed a reply) I do love this class and the material so far!
